THINKING BUSINESS
a blog by Chris Barrow

and just when you thought I’d sold my soul to the NHS

Here I am working – working in partnership with Practice Pan to promote an evening for those considering a move from NHS to private dentistry.

They tell me that ticket sales in Manchester and Windsor are exceptional – come on Birmingham, catch up.

Yes – its possible – you can spend Tuesday working with 35 NHS practices in Coventry, promoting excellence in customer service:

– and then have your face in evidence at two BDA conference stands:

  1. one event to inform and educate principals who may be considering conversion

  2. and another helping IDH to promote career pathways for UK dentists

and continue to work with private independent practices on a 1:1 or Mastermind basis.

“I have been receiving virtual coaching from Chris now for the last 3 months. I have found the weekly workout log very helpful in helping me focus my objectives for the coming week. Despite the fact that Chris is really busy due to his popularity as the no. 1 dental coach, the numerous emails that I send him are replied to within 24 hours. This efficient service really gives me reassurance and peace of mind. Regular phone calls also help to keep me in check. Thanks for the great work COACH!!”

“I started using Chris as a coach when I first started setting up my new practice. As a new practice owner, I had a lot on my shoulders and plenty of anxiety. He has often guided me through problems especially when I have been unable to see the wood for the trees. I have found him to be consistently truthful, is always available at the end of an email and I like to think he is genuinely supportive of what we are trying to achieve. I would go so far as saying he is the number 1 fan of our practice but maybe thats the illusion he is trying to create! On a more serious note I do rely heavily on his advice and mentorship, for things from mundane staffing issues, through to innovative marketing ideas. I am pretty sure Ill not have a problem that he hasn’t seen before and that gives me a huge amount of confidence and reassurance.”

I love this job – and the last three days at the BDA Conference have been some of the most exciting this year.

By the time we all get to the BDA in Manchester next year – the face of dentistry will have changed forever.
