Dentists who invest

"I’m frequently contacted by people who have products and services of relevance to my clients. For over 25+ years I have maintained a policy that I do not accept introducers fees or commissions – I simply broadcast and comment on good ideas."

COVID-19 served has served as a wake up call to us in many ways.

One of them was the financial pressure exerted upon dentists who had lost their main source of income.

Suddenly many dentists were high and dry - savings were utilized where possible for those fortuitous enough to have them.

There were some without this luxury.

A scarcity of money highlighted a need for greater financial literacy amongst the profession.

The jargon and technical terms surrounding financial literature make understanding a challenge.

There is little attention regarding this important matter in dental school.

There is a knowledge gap to be bridged and this is what the new online community "Dentists Who Invest" remedies.

Originally born out of a Facebook group created around 6 months ago by Dr. James Martin, this group has seen massive growth totalling 3.7k members at present. The appetite for improved financial knowledge amongst dentists is clear.

A whole ecosystem has sprung out of this community, including a standalone website and a podcast.

Regular content and financial questions are posted on the group so that others may learn.

The group is unaffiliated (and always will be), meaning that all information on it is unbiased and purely to aid understanding.

James himself is a GDP whose main interest in cryptocurrency drove him to learn more broadly about finance.

Feel free to give to check it out on Facebook if you're a dentist who is interested in learning about better ways to protect your money and improve your understanding of finance.
