Last Wednesday evening I presented to over 50 dentists at an event organised by Lloyds Bank and supporting Bridge2Aid.
It was good to catch up with some old friends, including Ian Crompton and David Wood-Griffiths from the bank, Paul Tasman from Bridge2Aid, George Manolescue from DBS and Gary Chapman from Portman Healthcare, as well as meet many new people from dentistry and the supply side.
My presentation was on Dentistry 2025 – a look into possible futures, heavily influenced by the word “digital” but also speculating on the future of the business of dentistry.
Whilst there, it was interesting to read the latest issue of the Lloyds Bank Healthcare Confidence Index. It discusses confidence amongst GP’s, pharmacists and dentists.
I learn that 64% of dentists expected their business profits to increase in the coming 12 months, that 49% intended to grow a single-site practice, 20% to purchase other practices. Great news and nice to read something that isn’t bitching and moaning.
Lloyds are in the process of collating data for their next issue and would like you to take part and spend a few minutes answering some simple questions on-line.

and you don’t have to be a Lloyds customer to take part.
If you have an opinion, they would love to hear it – and you will receive a complimentary copy of the next publication.
