Don't look back:

• to target-related NHS general dentistry - the UDA is dead;

• to intensive and regular face to face contact with patients - the integration of digital dentistry and contactless communication into the workflow and the patient journey are accelerating rapidly;

• to the previous contracts and remuneration of hygienists/therapists and associates;

• to those who we thought were our leaders - who do we now trust and respect to take us forward?

• to dentistry as an attractive career option for the ambitious - it's beginning to look like a vocation again and not just a way to generate quick cash flow before and after kids or a means to fund an investment property portfolio.

Hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success.
