The Same Storm - The December newsletter from Extreme Business

It was from dental technician Ashley Byrne I first heard the expression:

“we may not be in the same boat but we are in the same storm”

It has been one of the toughest years of our lives.

If we could review the dental year in just a few words:

Quarter 1 - “Pandemic - something that happens to other people.”

Quarter 2 - the shock of Lockdown 1.0, followed by endless variations of “what do we do now and next?”

Quarter 3 - back to work and “how do we do the new dance and get our patients, team and income back?"

Quarter 4 - Lockdown 2.0 and tiers - it hasn’t gone away and it’s going to be like this for a long time yet - “I’m exhausted, my team are frayed, my patients are frustrated - how do we keep going?”
