Ambulance chasers

I chatted to a course delegate last week, whose brother is a 4th year dental student in the UK.

So far, the brother has completed a total of 12 extractions and the rest mostly theory.

A South African delegate on the same course observed that he had completed over 1,000 extractions by the same point in his training.

I find it quietly ironic that some are fretting about lightening the load of the ORE, whilst at the same time we support an education system that fosters inexperience?

It's no surprise that we now have lawyers chasing metaphoric ambulances in dentistry - and naming specific practices in their Facebook litigation campaigns.
