This may read as a very strange request - but I'm looking for a guest speaker who can advise my "mixed practice" clients in The Extreme Business 100 on how to communicate the proposed changes in English NHS dentistry in a way that is respectful but also encourages private conversion.
I'm in the unusual position of having designed a presentation that I simply don't feel qualified to deliver by myself - so I'm looking for someone who can take the full brief, or collaborate with me.
I’m looking for a dedicated Extreme Business Tuesday Night webinar session on this—
“How to Convert NHS Patients to Private Plan in Light of the 2026 Contract Changes”.
Proposed session agenda:
What’s (likely) changing with the NHS contract in April
Summary of the emerging detail
What it means for patients
What it means for practice business models
Positioning your message to patients
Language that builds trust, not fear
What to say (and not say) in emails, reception scripts, and treatment rooms
Sample copy for:
Email
SMS
Website
Social media
In-practice posters
Segmenting your NHS list for conversion
Who to target first (and who not to)
Using your recall/reporting tools to prioritise the right groups
Triage scripts for front-of-house and clinicians
Building a plan that patients say yes to
How to pitch plan membership simply and clearly
Price points, perceived value, and uptake psychology
The role of TCOs and recall booking windows
Marketing strategy
“This is what’s changing” vs “This is what we offer instead”
Balancing honesty with reassurance
Social media tactics: short-form video, reels, testimonials, myth-busting content
Measuring success
Key metrics to track weekly and monthly
How to course-correct if uptake is slow
Staff training and internal comms
Any offers? The stage will be yours. coachbarrow@me.com
