First day back coaching live on Zoom

Yesterday marked my return to active coaching in 2026 — and it didn’t take long to remember why I love this work. Five calls, five very different practices, and one clear theme: this is the year to lead from the front.
We began with a practice facing the so-called “perfect storm”: four associates leaving, therapists on maternity, and their implant dentist — the growth engine — heading out. And yet, despite all that, the conversation was about strategic calm, not chaos. A recruitment blitz, therapist-led models, and MVP cash flow planning are already underway. No drama. Just decisions.
Another client is sitting on a practice with brilliant people and frustrating performance. The numbers aren’t matching the capability — so we’re starting from the inside out: financial clarity, patient journey, case acceptance, team metrics. This is a practice that could be worth double what it is now, and the path forward is clear.
Elsewhere, a client who recently converted to sole trader status is wrestling with the reality of inflated profit figures and confused valuation. We’re fixing it fast: dual EBITDA reporting, associate pay clarity, and a forensic grip on overheads.
A multi-site owner is buried under data but missing insight. We’re streamlining from weekly noise to monthly signal, and getting serious about clinician profitability, TCO training and marketing ROI.
And finally, a client weighing sale vs golden goose. Exhausted, successful, and ready for the next chapter — but not sure which one. We agreed: start with a BDM, tidy the ops, and let the next 6 months show you the way.
Five conversations. Five brave owners. One very clear message: this is not the year to wait and see.
Let’s get to work.
