Thursday 22 January 2026 is the first day of our first quarter workshop tour for the Extreme Business 100, and we’re starting exactly as we mean to go on: with people.
The greatest constraint in dentistry right now isn’t dentistry. It’s leadership, morale, trust, and the daily grind of managing human beings in a post-pandemic workplace that has changed faster than most practice owners have had time to process.
That’s why I’m genuinely excited that our Q1 guest speaker in Dublin will be Lisa Grogan, appearing with us for the first time.
Lisa’s session title tells you everything you need to know:
“From Toxic & Turbulent to Thriving: How to Rebuild Trust, Boost Morale & Lead Dental Teams with Confidence.”
It’s a full-day workshop built around a blend of practical psychology and neuroscience, but with its feet firmly on the ground in real dental practice life.
What I like about the promise of this day is that it isn’t fluffy. It’s not “be nicer” or “communicate better” as vague aspiration. It’s tools, frameworks, and action. Lisa is setting out to help owners and managers understand what causes teams to unravel, and then rebuild the foundations: trust, motivation, clarity and performance.
The stated outcomes are exactly what the market needs right now: a practical leadership toolkit, custom frameworks for handling difficult behaviour with compassion and clarity, and a clear vision and culture map for both you and the clinic. Most importantly, it promises renewed confidence and energy protection for leaders — because burnt-out owners don’t build scalable businesses.
I’ll be hearing Lisa’s presentation for the first time in Dublin too, which makes this even more interesting. I’m fascinated to see how the room responds, what it unlocks, and which conversations it triggers at the tables.
If your practice feels “fine on paper” but heavy in the building, Dublin is the right place to start 2026 and I'm excited to see how the day evolves over our 7 locations in the weeks ahead.
