My Digital Detox

Back at work this morning after our annual 2-week sabbatical on the Greek island of Ithaca.
Rested, re-charged and ready to go again.
5 books read, lots of sleep, food, drink and fun on beaches and boats.
The last time I saw Colin Campbell was on the London Underground, the evening before we departed and at the end of his Consultation Masterclass.
The last thing he said to me was "I challenge you to take a 2-week vacation from social media, as well as work."
As expected, I rose to the challenge - no Facebook/Insta, no emails, no tasks, no Whatsapp, no Slack, no ChatGPT.
My only connections to the web were Tour de France highlights each day (on SBS Australia, because the new Channel 5 coverage in the UK is so awful) and a couple of family emergencies that required my intervention.
"Off the grid' was lovely - thank you Colin.
Now I'm back.

This post made me think about my own screen habits. A digital detox doesn't have to be perfect—it just needs to create healthier boundaries. After limiting social media, I sometimes unwind with Quick Games because it's a simple way to enjoy a short break without getting stuck in endless feeds. Great perspective!
