Having a chat with your Dad about your business

One of the more poignant moments of recent years was being driven to Glasgow Central Station by a dental practice owner who commented:

"We love having you with us for the day - it's like having a Dad who knows all about dental business."

I know that she meant well but it hurt a little bit at the time - after all I'm still 35 years old in my head.

I suppose I should be lucky she didn't say Granddad, I am expecting the arrival of grandchildren numbers 6 & 7 in the coming months.

It did occur to register the domain name DentalDad.com.

I suppose it would be DentalDad.AI nowadays.

Anyway - the thought counted and I know the observation was made from a place of love.

I suppose a Dad is there to share the wisdom of their own experience and sage advice from the perspective of many years.
