We are looking forward to the BDA conference this week. Here’s what we’ll be up to… Come find us on stand D17 We’ll be on stand D17 where Annie looks forward to meeting you and answering your questions. Mark and Ian will be there throughout the event and Kerry will be there Thursday. Join in the discussion forum We are delighted to be co-hosting a discussion forum on Thursday at 1245 in Charter Room 7. The session will be chaired by Stephen Hancocks OBE and the speaker is Prof Chris Holmgren. The forum is an opportunity to discuss the history, approaches and evidence base behind volunteering in developing countries. The aim is to facilitate discussion are the issues and to suggest further approaches that will benefit the volunteer, the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and most importantly, the recipient communities. Attend the B2A Seminar We will be holding our own seminar entitled “Can short term volunteering really make a long term difference?” Mark and Ian will be speaking about how the DVP model works and how volunteers really can use just 2 weeks to make a lasting impact on communities in developing nations.
