Its a Chris Barrow invention – re-instigated by the fact that my pants are suddenly tight around the waist. Inspired by my frustration at watching Sunday’s London Marathon but not taking part. So there are now 5 banned substances until such time as my trousers fit: 1. alcohol 2. potato 3. pasta 4. rice 5. bread And I’m back in the gym in Falmouth, the gym in whichever hotel I’m staying – or just back on the road in my running gear. Monday was my first test – a client dinner at the Breathe Business Club. Passed with flying colours. And, as you can see, I’ve even chosen a suitable book to spur me on. One day down – 89 to go!
