I have never written and published two blog posts in one day but........
Over the weekend my clients have been reporting that their Google reviews have started vanishing - some by over 10% of the numbers collected.
No common themes are appearing - it's not reviews collected on site, there is no regional variation that I can see - and this morning I discover that my own Google reviews (every one of them 5-star) have gone down from 330+ to 300+ - another 10% loss.
I have multiple posts on our Owner's WhatsApp Group - all saying similar things - and how demoralising that is for teams that are chasing review targets.
So - is this happening to you - and does anyone out there have any clue as to what's going on?

We have gone from 516 reviews to 435, when checking all the reviews seems to be there. I hope Google can rectify this soon, when your staff work hard to get the reviews it is quite demoralising.
Hi, we too lost about 10% of reviews, but when I went and physically counted the reviews they are actually all there, just the number has reduced, so hoping it is an error and will be corrected soon. It has happened earlier too but never that many.
