THINKING BUSINESS
a blog by Chris Barrow

Monday riff

  • I'm working pretty much 7 days a week at the moment. Yes, even the business coach who talks about "balance" has to recognise that, when it's harvest time, you have to get the crops in before the weather changes;

  • Given that I'm attempting my 35th marathon on 3rd November (after 4 years off with injury), I was delighted to join the Whoop "Sober October" challenge - it begins;

  • I'm focusing on my sleep at the moment and working hard on getting to bed a little earlier - why do I keep having recurring dreams about "not being able to get where I'm going?' - Arriving at airports to discover I have no passport, arriving at other destinations and realising I have lost my iPhone - any budding psychoanalysts willing to give me an interpretation?

  • My October newsletter (out tomorrow) will lead with some BOP (bold, outrageous and provocative) comments on the current dental landscape;

  • We are two weeks away from the start of the Q4 workshop tour and my guest speaker, Ashley Latter has broken box-office records;

  • I'm very excited that my 2025 guest workshop speakers are all lined up and content confirmed - Sheila Scott, Neil Harris, Michael Bentley and Mike Hesketh;

  • Today I'm excited to start the coaching journey with a Champions League practice who want to get even better;

  • The Native Americans have a saying "when the horse is dead, get off". Congratulations to Spurs but it's not just the Labour Government who have to change things;

  • Happy Monday - here we go again.
