Marketing dentistry India 2026 don't you wish we had the same rules?

So there I was, co-delivering my quarterly webinar with the Indian cohort of clients in Dental Business Masters Elite when the question came.....

"Since we last spoke the newly-formed National Dental Commission have introduced new restrictions on marketing." (and I paraphrase):

  • no patient selfies, testimonials or case studies;

  • no claims to be the best at anything.

My reaction may have surprised some of the delegates - congratulations!

No longer do you have to take part in the endless search for followers, likes, shares and comments.

No more self-promotion of you living your best life, looking after the best patients, with the best team, in the loveliest premises, with the best before and afters.

No more pumpkins wearing braces, dancing team members and Christmas Elves.

No more "get rich quick" offers from advertising agencies who promise to send qualified leads to your door.

No more discounts, special offers, open days, vouchers, deals, price wars.

No more price-shoppers, bargain-hunters and time-wasters.

Now, my Indian friends can pick up a copy of Marcus Sheridan's "Endless Customers" and focus on inbound marketing.

Now they can ask happy patients to recommend them to their family, friends and colleagues.

A fraction of the cost, time and effort.

And they can teach AI-search that they know their stuff by answering FAQs.

Waiting for serious patients to find them and make contact.

How absolutely marvellous - a much more level playing field that rewards quality, knowledge and experience, not spend, reality, and perception.

And to my UK and Irish community....

Don't you wish you had to market the Indian way?
