$40,000 in three hours. That’s how long it took Seth Godin to generate the funding for his next writing project on Kickstarters. And the activity continued… just a few moments ago (07:49 Tuesday) This worked because:

1. he has spent years creating value

2. he talks straight – no fluff

3. its a simple idea

4. people want to be in a tribe

5. average investment $70

I pledged $49. Would I buy a book for $49? No way. But I just did. Because I wanted to be a part of what was happening. We learn from this.
