• busy morning at my desk before driving to London this afternoon #
• Pizza in Paddington with my son Alex before I drive him home for Christmas. A great conversation about life, the universe and everything. #
• Transport son from London to Altrincham, pick up new bike in Barnsley, attend working dinner in Manchester, visit Old Trafford tonight! #
• off to bed knowing that I have enjoyed a great day – and feeling quite homesick for Manchester this evening – just loved being here tonight #
• Liverpool this morning – Starbucks as usual – looking forward to a good coaching day #
• Checking in for my Ryanair flight to Dublin. Setting my expectations at "low"! #
• Airport closed, aircraft on runway surrounded by emergency services #
• My flight has landed in Liverpool so we are now waiting for a coach – long night ahead! #
• And now we are told that the flight is coming to pick us up. Out through passport control and back thru security we go #
• back at the departure gate but we have lost over half the passengers in the airport somewhere – creeping chaos… #
• latest news from Dublin airport we site – my flight expected at 00:45 #
• Queueing now to board a flight. 2 hours late now but bus ride avoided. #
• If they try and sell me a scratch card I WILL kill somebody #
• Arrives Dublin 0;45 and a 10 minute walk to baggage pick up. Next stage is cab to hotel #
• Arrives hotel and presses shirt at 01:30. 07:00 shuttle bus back to airport to pick up hire car. Note to self – why am I doing this? #
• Andso, after 4 hours sleep, our intrepid adventurer returns to his journey… #
• Sat on shuttle bus listening to 2 pilots comparing their scariest landings. They seem to have a long list. #
• Educational day in Dublin and now a long drive to Co Fermanagh. Homesick this evening. #
• @marionryan probably the same drunken Russian that flew my helicopter from Khatmandhu into the mountains in 1998 in reply to marionryan #
• arrives safely in Eniskillen – knackered and happy with a good day. Food, drink, bath, bed. #
• the water is cold – I don't want a cold shower #
• Belfast City – late flight to Manchester, there to meet my lovely lady – that's the right way to end a demanding week and a long journey #
• Groundhog evening – flight delayed 35 minutes – and counting…. #
• Well at least we are now boarding! #
• Quote of the day: "what % of the day do you consider yourself to be perfect?" #
• Question to stewardess, "which Terminal do we land at?" answer given "Terminal free" that's what she said.. #

• Saturday shopping in Manchester with my two favourite girls – and off to see Avatar in iMax 3D this afternoon – very excited #

• Rosso with Ash and Grace Latter. 21:00 United team join us for their Xmas bash. 22:00 surprise cabaret is The Stereophonics. #
• Just arrived home after an 8 hour journey. Glass of wine and a Domies to follow. #
