Chris | October 14, 2009Whilst the on-line forums were speculating (yawn) on the inaccurate future of IDH and blowing my cover as a secret agent (see below), I enjoyed a riveting over-dinner conversation last night with Graham Penfold of Practice Plan and my old mate Guy Levine.
I haven’t had much chance to get to know Graham properly – we pass like ships at most conferences, equally busy, so a chance to pause and listen over a very nice Rioja was a great investment for me.
His description of the changes coming down the line in 2011 were genuine thought leadership – you should hire him as a speaker:
- cross infection controls
- the registration of healthcare professionals with the CQC
- the overall state of the market
fascinating, informed, intelligent, provocative.
And when Graham asked Guy “what do you do for a living?”, the answer was a pleasure to listen to:
well basically I ask dentists to give me £1000 and I turn that into £10,000 of treatment sales
That’s my boy….
As the winter nights draw in and boredom/nagging drives dentists into the garden shed/study and on-line to toss the reputation of businesses and people around for titillatory excitement, I offer the following happy reminder of the enthusiasm of “tribes”:
