Here’s an interesting 3:28 video of Hilton Freund from Fooco talking about the rise and rise of internet marketing for dental practices – great presentation.
What a fantastic day – over 90 delegates arrived to listen, not just to me with my usual rant on marketing – but, more importantly, to some of my favourite clients talking about “how they did it”.
I felt almost parental as I watched Alex Jones, Mark Whetstone, David & Dawn Cunningham, Uchenna Okoye and James Hamill share presentations that clearly inspired the audience.
Home-grown talent and repeated examples that the recession is simply a state of mind.
A tremendous success – one our my best days in public speaking ever.
More later – but here are some photos

Chatting to a friend last night who has lots of contacts with surgeons in London and the South East.
Here’s what’s happening:
The point is that markets are changing rapidly – and so you have to stay connected to be able to see trends as they develop and respond to them.
What’s the trend in UK dentistry?
How do you find out?
I’m “lucky” because I get to travel.
From the perspective of the Holiday Inn Kings Cross and a horrible cup of coffee, travel is no fun – but from a market-awareness perspective its great.
In the last 24 hours I have listened carefully to 36 VDP’s and written an ezine article on my experience this morning.
In the next 48 hours I will be:
which means that by Saturday night, my market intelligence will be greater.
What are you doing?
You have to get connected to the dental business community.
Just arrived in Durham to spend the day lecturing on personal
development and marketing.
I am impressed with this superb new teaching facility. Full set of
photos on my Facebook site.
Inspiring young dentists. What a great way to invest a day of my life.
OMG – its so cool.
The opening page is a selection of most frequently used web sites – that are presented in the same way as albums in itunes.
I’m so excited…
or you can browse your bookmarks as you would in itunes or on your iphone
I just think this is the coolest thing I’ve seem in ages.
You cannot open a brand new private dental practice in the current economic climate!
No patients – standing start – it just will not work.
(Whisper)
By the way – don’t tell these people…
Yasmin George has sent me a link to her new web site and I’m happy to add it to my list of favourites.
You can also see it if you click here.
I will be writing to her today with one suggested improvement that leapt out at me – can you guess what that is?
